About Me
Back To Home Page
My Name is Harry Bell, I live in Stockport near Manchester and have bred quality livestock all my life.

Over the past fifteen years I have enjoyed much success locally and later nationally with my livestock. I have exhibited Rhode Island Reds in large and bantam winning many awards locally for the high standard of my poultry.

Then in 2000 the show standard cavies arrived. I had previously kept cavies as pets, but the Chocolate Himalayans were to change everything. They were such a difficult breed, but I worked hard to succeed.

In 2001 I won best intermediate at the NHCC Intermediate Stock Show. I won Best in Show at Oswestry Cavy Club in 2002 and also Best in Show at a NHCC Rossette show held at Warwickshire Cavy Club. Then RBIS at the 2002 NHCC Adult Stock Show.

In 2003 a mystery bacterium hit my cavies causing large swelling in the throats. I was never to recover from this despite major veterinary intervention, and then came the Netherland dwarfs. (Himalayan of course)!
